The soft cover book is an incredible value for less than $38, especially given a used hardcover copy costs over $650. I buy many power plant engineering and steam books whenever I see one that looks good at a cheap price. This one was absolutely the best that I’ve come across so far. It’s not a foundational book for preparing for a test like “Steam Plant Operation” by Woodruff and Lammers. It has sections that go into far more detail than most other steam engineering books do. I wish it had been indexed better. That’s the one serious drawback, it’s very difficult to find anything specific. Anyway, it’s a lot of book for the money and a good one to have as part of a collection.
